What BriefedIn does

When you ask for a brief, we search the public web — news, blog posts, conference sites, GitHub, company pages, and public search results — and summarize what we find into a short, source-cited report. We do not scrape LinkedIn, Instagram, or X/Twitter; those platforms' own terms don't allow it, and we respect that.

What BriefedIn doesn't do

BriefedIn never rates, scores, or judges people, and never infers personality, intelligence, or character. Every statement in a brief is grounded in a public source you can click through to. BriefedIn is not a background-check or screening tool and must not be used for employment, credit, housing, or insurance decisions.

Retention

Reports are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. We don't maintain a standing database of people — nothing is pre-crawled; everything is generated fresh, on request, from a live public search.

Your right to be excluded

Anyone — whether or not you use BriefedIn — can ask to be excluded from future research. Visit the opt-out page to submit a request.

Legal basis

We process publicly available professional information on the basis of legitimate interest: the data is already public, the context is professional (meeting preparation), retention is minimized, and objections are honored. If you have questions, reach out and we'll respond directly.
